Run Address Correction Batch Process
Once the Address Correction Export file has been created from CAMS Enterprise,
the next step is to process the address correction batch through the Intelligent
Search Technology, Ltd ® web site. Note that the institution must
have an account with this vendor in order to use the service. The
first time that you log on to this site, you will be required to Define
Settings. See Define Address Correction
Settings.
To process address correction batch:
- Log into the Intelligent
Search Technology, Ltd web site, www.name-searching.com.
- Select Correct
Address Batch Processor.
- Browse to the address file
that CAMS Enterprise exported and upload it.
- Select the Input File.
- Ensure Text File (*.txt, *.csv)
is selected then click Use Previous
Settings. File must be comma delimited. Should you forget to
select this format, you can bring the exported file into Excel and
create a comma delimited file for importing into CAMS. This will prevent
you from incurring additional expense of reprocessing the correction
batch.
- Verify that all settings are
still correct then click Next.
- Click Run
Batch. An information window pops up while the batch job is
running. Read the information and click OK to close the window.
- Click View
Progress until the Time Finished line displays the ending time.
Depending on how large the file is this may take awhile.
- Highlight the file to download.
(This file will be imported into CAMS Enterprise.) Click
Download Selected Files. Follow
the on-screen instructions and remember where the file has been saved.
- Proceed to Load
Prospect Address Correction File or Load
Constituent Address Correction File.
Note: Before
closing the Intelligent Search Technology, Ltd
window click Back and then click
Remove All Files to clear out
cache files on their site. Failure to do this could result in a
previous version of the exported file being downloaded.
